Chris is a litigation partner for the firm based in our Auckland office in the General Building in Shortland Street. Chris has been a lawyer since 1984 and spends most of his working week in the Courts and other tribunals, or working towards resolution of disputes on behalf of clients.

Chris has significant experience in advising directors, employers and others required to deal with regulatory authorities including the Commerce Commission, Securities Commission, Serious Fraud Office and Customs Services. He is also a senior member of the panel of prosecutors called upon to prosecute matters on behalf of the Crown Solicitors at Auckland.

Chris is often called upon to advise individual and corporate clients on a range of litigious matters including enforcement of obligations owed to companies, joint ventures and other entities, in the health, transport, aviation and finance sectors.

The office maintains significant relationships with a number of highly experienced Queen’s Counsel and the litigation team is well able to manage excellent results with such counsel if such expertise is required.

In the sporting arena, Chris is a member of the IRB, SANZAR and NZRU Judicial Officer panels and deals with disciplinary issues arising both on and off the sports field.
